Publishing Workflows and Opportunity Status Change Trigger

To publish workflows, it is crucial to establish both a workflow trigger and a workflow action. Without both components, the workflow can only be saved and not published.

The Opportunity Status Change trigger activates when the status of an opportunity changes in the Opportunities CRM section, transitioning from one status to another. This trigger is specifically designed to respond only when the opportunity card's status undergoes a change.

To begin, click on "Add New Workflow Trigger" and select "Opportunity Status Change."

All Filters

You can enhance the precision of your trigger by adding filters. All filters are required, and here are your options:

Assigned To

The "Assign To" trigger facilitates the assignment of a contact to a user based on a chosen condition. Select a team member from the dropdown to set the assigned-to condition.

Has Tag

Choosing the "Has Tag" filter triggers the workflow when an opportunity card with a specific tag transitions from one status to another. For instance, the workflow activates only when an opportunity card with a "50% off shipping fee" tag moves from the open status to the won status.

In Pipeline

Selecting the "In Pipeline" filter activates the workflow when an opportunity card in a specific pipeline transitions from one status to another. For example, if a card in the "15% Black Friday Discount" pipeline moves from open to abandon status, this filter triggers the workflow.

Lead Value

Choose the lead value and set an operator to filter opportunities based on lead value conditions.

Move From Status

The "Move From Status" filter triggers the workflow when an opportunity card moves from one status to another, such as moving from open to abandon, lost, or won.

Move To Status

Similarly, the "Move To Status" filter triggers the workflow when an opportunity card moves to "won" from either abandon, lost, or open. These filters allow for highly targeted automated workflows based on precise status changes.

Pipeline Stage

The "Pipeline Stage" filter narrows the criteria, targeting a designated stage in the pipeline to activate the workflow when an opportunity card arrives.

Contact Name

The Opportunity custom field, Contact Name, can also be added here to further customize the workflow based on this field.

By incorporating these filters, businesses can create highly tailored and automated workflows, ensuring precise responses to status changes within their Opportunities CRM section.
