Goal Event (action)

Goal Event (action)

The Goal Event feature automatically progresses contacts to the next step in the workflow when they fulfill the specified goal conditions set by the user. This transition occurs regardless of the contact's current position in the workflow. This workflow action is particularly useful for concluding a series of workflow actions once a customer achieves the defined goal, such as completing a purchase.

Action Name

Users have the flexibility to customize the name of the Goal Event based on the objective or keep it as is.

Select type of Goal

Goal Events can be selected to define a contact goal within a workflow. Once a contact enters the workflow, the system begins monitoring the specified Goal Event, irrespective of the contact's current workflow step.

Email Event - The Email event enables the system to incorporate prospects into the workflow, regardless of their current step, when specific conditions related to the email event occur. Users can choose the specific email event they want the system to recognize, such as email opened or unsubscribed.

Clicked a Trigger Link - Upon clicking a trigger link, prospects are pulled into the workflow, regardless of their current step in the contact.

Currently, only one goal event can be added for each workflow.

Pick email step to wait for

Users can designate the step for the email event using the "Pick email step to wait for" option.

Selecting email event

From the options below, users can choose the email event based on their objective. Checkboxes allow users to select one or more events according to their goal.

Opened - Activate the goal event after the email is opened.

Clicked - Trigger the goal event after the prospect clicks on the link.

Unsubscribed - Implement goal actions after the prospect clicks on the unsubscribe link.

Complained - Perform actions when the client marks your email as spam, with predefined actions for such events.

Bounced - Remove bounced emails from the list.

Action when the contact reaches the goal without meeting its conditions

If the Goal event is not achieved by the time the contact reaches the goal action in the automation, three options are available:

  1. End this workflow - Terminate the workflow, even if the contact hasn't met the goal condition yet.
  2. Continue Anyway - Instruct the system to execute several actions when the contact hasn't met the goal condition.
  3. Wait until the Goal is met - Allow the system to wait until the goal conditions are fulfilled.

Save Actions

This tab saves the changes made in the goal event.
