Workflow Publishing Requirements:

To publish workflows, it is essential to establish both a workflow trigger and action. Without these components, you can only save the workflow without making it publicly accessible.

 

Contact Tag Workflow:

The Contact Tag workflow becomes active when a tag is either added or removed from a contact within the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.

 

Tags play a crucial role in organizing customer information and monitoring follow-up needs for specific customers. This functionality allows for the seamless movement of customers between different lists or steps based on their activities or interactions.

 

Setup Process:

To initiate the setup process, follow these steps:

  1. Click on "Add New Workflow Trigger."
  2. From the dropdown menu labeled "Choose a Workflow Trigger," select "Contact Tag."

 

 

Adding Filters:

Tag Added:

To trigger the workflow when a tag is added to a contact, follow these steps:

  1. Click the filters dropdown.
  2. Choose "Tag Added."
  3. Select the specific tag you want to use as a trigger.

 

Example Scenario:

For instance, if a "Member-exclusive rewards" tag is added to a contact, the workflow is automatically initiated, leading to the subsequent action, such as sending a "Thank you" SMS.

Tag Removed:

Alternatively, you can set up the workflow to activate when a tag is removed from a contact. Follow these steps:

  1. Select the "Tag Removed" filter.
  2. Choose the specific tag associated with the removal.

 

Example Scenario:

Suppose a tag indicating subscription to a mailing list is removed. In that case, you might want to send a follow-up message to confirm their intent to unsubscribe. An example message could be: "Hey John! We received your request to unsubscribe from our weekly updates. Your request has been approved! If you want to re-subscribe, click on the link below.
