Contact Changed

Contact Changed

To PUBLISH workflows, it is imperative to establish both a workflow trigger and a workflow action. The absence of either component restricts you to saving the workflow without the ability to publish it.

The Contact Changed trigger is activated when there are updates to a contact's details, specifically in Tags, Assigned Users, Do Not Disturb (DND) status, and Custom Fields. This trigger facilitates the automation of specific actions or responses based on these changes, ensuring efficient management of contact information and keeping your team well-informed about essential updates.

Add Filters

Assigned User

  • Has Changed: This filter triggers the workflow when the assigned user for a contact is altered, irrespective of the identity of the newly assigned user.
  • Has Changed To: Selecting this filter ensures that the workflow runs exclusively when the specified user is assigned to a contact. For instance, if the previous assigned user was Jim, you can add the user John to this filter, and the workflow will only run when John is assigned to a contact.

DND

The DND feature acts as an opt-out for contacts who wish to be removed from all communication services. This typically occurs when a customer requests to unsubscribe from such services.

  • Has Changed: This filter triggers the workflow when the DND status of a customer changes. The status can shift to "DND enable" or "DND disable."
  • Has Changed To: Choosing this filter option ensures that the workflow is activated only when the DND status of a customer changes to the specified DND option. For example, if you want to notify your team when a customer opts out using the DND-enabled setting, the workflow will only be triggered when DND gets enabled on a contact record.

Tags

The Tags feature allows you to trigger a workflow exclusively when you add or remove a tag from a contact. When you select the Tags filter, a new dropdown appears for you to choose between "Added" or "Removed." Subsequently, you can select the specific tag from another dropdown. This option streamlines your workflow, ensuring that your team is promptly notified of changes to a contact's tag.
